London!

Hello All!

It has been a while since I last posted but as classes and societies have started life here has gotten quite busy!  However last weekend October 7th and 8th we took a pause on our crazy schedules and headed off to London to see the city and some Shakespeare.

Friday

We took a train down to London friday afternoon, it's about a two hour trip so we got there in time to check in to our hotel, have some dinner, and go for a wander around the city.  Here are some Photos from the night.

Big Ben with his scaffolding (he's under repair right now)

 Saturday

We had Saturday to ourselves to explore the city with the requirement that we went to at least one museum or historical site.  I set out with Gabby in the Morning to explore the Imperial War Museum.
The Museum had a really good exhibit on the Holocaust that we spent most of our time in.

After the IWM we headed off to Harrods to explore the store and food halls after staring at all the delicious food we headed off to find some lunch we could actually afford.  Gabby and I then headed off to enjoy Hyde Park and some Ben & Jerrys.
Cute street we walked down.

Loving that Ben and Jerry's

Finally we ended our day with Wicked!

 Sunday

Our final day in London was spent by seeing the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, Visiting the Tate Modern, Walking around St. Paul's, and seeing Shakespeare's comedy Much Ado About Nothing. The Play was really cool to see after having studied the book freshman year.
